Redcurrant 'Red Lake'
Juicy berries to eat
This variety produces a heavy crop of berries which are great
for eating or cooking with. Berries are harvested in mid summer,
and pruning is simple.
Redcurrant 'Red Start'
Eat fresh from the bush
This is another heavy cropping variety, with berries which are
great for cooking. Berries are ripe for harvesting in late summer.
Uses
Fantastic in redcurrant
jelly for savoury dishes, or in summer pudding.

Pruning
Pruning your redcurrants is
simple.....
Prune between November and
February. Remove all dead or damaged branches.
Create an open structure by cutting all main stems back by half and all
side shoots back to around 5cm.
Cultural Information
Position: Grow in full sun
or partial shade, in well drained soil. Prefers
a slightly sheltered position.
Height and Spread: 1.5m x 1.5m (5' x 5')
