Easy to Pick
A thornless variety making it easy to pick. Produces loads of berries which
can be eaten
or used in for cooking with. Glen Ample is summer raspberry.
Raspberry 'Polka'
Excellent to Eat
An autumn fruiting raspberry which produces a heavy crop of berries
that are tasty eaten fresh.

Uses
Delicious in summer desserts, or with chocolate cake
and brownies.
Great eaten fresh from the bush with cream or ice cream.

Pruning
Pruning alters depending on whether you have summer or
autumn fruiting varieties.
'Glen Ample' is a summer fruiting variety, and 'Polka' an autumn variety.
It is simple to determine whether your variety is summer or autumn fruiting,
it is as simple as whether it fruits in the summer months or more towards the
end of summer / autumn.
Summer Fruiting Varieties
Following fruiting, only cut canes that have fruited that year back to
ground level.
Autumn Fruiting Varieties
In February, cut all canes back to ground level.
Cultural Information
Position: Raspberries will grow in full sun or
partial shade, in well drained soil
Height and Spread: Upto approx. 2m x 2m (6' x 6')
