Blackcurrant 'Ben Lomond'

An excellent variety for cooking, it produces a heavy crop of sweet berries.
This variety is great for a small garden and doesn't require a huge amount
of pruning. Harvest in mid summer.

A great variety that is excellent for small gardens and produces a heavy
crop of berries that can be used for cooking or eating. Harvest in mid summer.


Uses

Tasty for jams, tarts, summer pudding and fresh from the bush
with ice cream.

Pruning

Pruning is fairly simple and must be carried out in autumn.

Do not prune in first year!
In subsequent autumns, remove dead and damaged branches, and cut back
a quarter of two year old stems to ground level.

Cultural Information

Position: Simply plant in full sun and well drained soil

Height and Spread: 1.5m x 1.5m (5' x 5')
